The Buldak Weekly Challenge is a weekly TikTok campaign run by Samyang Foods, the Korean company behind Buldak ramen. A new challenge drops every Tuesday at midnight ET, we pick 3 videos a day, and the ones we pick get paid promotion, a Buldak Gifting Box, or a place in the Hall of Flame.
Forget the recipe on the back of the pack — how far can you actually take Buldak? That is what we wanted to find out. So every Tuesday we drop a challenge, you make Buldak your way and film it, and we put real ad spend behind the videos we cannot stop watching. That is the Buldak Weekly Challenge.
No follower minimum. No application form. One challenge runs for one week, and next Tuesday the whole thing starts over.
Running Now: Prank Someone with Unexpected Buldak
Trick someone with a sneaky bite of Buldak. Wild food swaps, priceless reactions — the face they make before they can hide it. Film your moment, post it, get noticed.
Do not play it safe. Showing us something the other person did not see coming is the whole point of this one.
Each challenge is open for a limited window, and only videos posted inside that window are eligible. The countdown at the top of burn.buldak.com shows exactly how much time the current one has left — check it before you plan your shoot.
What We Are Looking For
One thing worth clearing up first, because plenty of people get it wrong: this is not a spice-tolerance contest.
Do not come into it thinking of the old dare where you eat the hottest thing you can find and suffer on camera. Look at the challenges we have posted and you will see this is a different thing entirely.
Buldak somewhere it has no business being. A reaction held back instead of played up. Two things combined that should not go together.
Not great with heat? That is fine. If the idea is fun, it is the kind of video we are looking for.
Still not sure what we mean? Go to burn.buldak.com. Scroll past this week's challenge and you will hit Spotted by Buldak — a live wall of entries already in play, with an On air badge next to it. The Beat Their Heat button underneath is exactly the invitation it sounds like. And if this week's angle is not yours, there is Free Topic. Got another Buldak move, show us.
How to Play, in Three Steps
Post one TikTok and you are basically done. All that is left is handing us the link.
1. Create your video. Take this week’s challenge whichever way you want.
2. Post on TikTok. Tag @buldak_global and add all three hashtags: #Buldak, #BuldakChallenge, #BuldakUnexpected.
3. Submit your link at burn.buldak.com. Tap Share on your video, copy the link, paste it in.
Video link only — no profile links. This is the one thing people get wrong. Tap Share on the video itself and copy from there; a profile link does not register as an entry.
You will enter a TikTok Spark Ads code along with the link. It is required to take part, and it is what makes the boost work the way it should: you hit post, we fuel the fire, and you live on the For You page. The budget goes behind your original post rather than a copy of it, so everything it earns lands on your account.

What You Get: Make It Hot, Get Rewarded
We pick three a day — make it Buldak, hit 10,000 views within two days. Those are the numbers we publish on burn.buldak.com, where it is written as 10K. Among the picks, the videos we cannot stop watching get ad spend behind them. Get picked and one of these comes your way.
Buldak Spotlight Boost
We pay to push your video past your usual reach. It runs on your original post, which means the views, the likes and the follows are yours. We are not borrowing your video — we are helping more people find it.
Buldak Gifting Box
A box of Buldak sent to your door. Winners share a shipping address and ID so we can actually get it there.
Hall of Flame
Your name goes up in the Hall of Flame on burn.buldak.com, next to the challenge you took. The campaign starts over every week, but a name in the Hall of Flame stays where it is. Full selection criteria are detailed in the submission terms.

Creators Already in the Hall of Flame
The fastest way to see what we are after? Watch what has already made it in.
@alison_claireee — Eat Buldak Somewhere Unexpected
The August mission that asked for Buldak in a place it had no business being. This is the video that took it.
@chef_soulja32 — Eat Hottest Buldak with Poker Face
Same heat, not a flicker on the face. The hardest version of the format, held to the very end.
@muchhyaa — Buldak Unexpected Double Combo
Two things that should not go together, somehow going together. The most recent addition.
Watch all three and you will see it. Not one of them is about eating more or eating hotter. Every one is a small idea, executed cleanly. That is enough to get picked.
How the Cycle Works
The campaign runs in cycles. One challenge closes, the next one opens, and the countdown on burn.buldak.com starts over. How long a cycle runs can shift from one challenge to the next, so the countdown is the thing to watch rather than a fixed day on the calendar.
Post early in the cycle if you can. A video that goes up right before a challenge closes has almost no runway to clear the view benchmark, while one posted soon after a challenge opens gets the full run to travel.
Before You Hit Submit
The short version of the submission terms published on buldak.com.
• All 3 hashtags are required. #Buldak, #BuldakChallenge and #BuldakUnexpected. Miss one and the entry does not register.
• You keep your copyright. Entering grants Samyang Foods a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use and adapt the video for marketing on our campaign sites and official social channels.
• The video has to be yours. Check that you are not using anyone else’s music, footage or likeness without permission.
• Prizes may be substituted with items of similar value, with notice, depending on availability. They are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
• What we collect. Email, TikTok handle and the video link. Winners additionally provide name, shipping address, contact number and an ID copy so we can ship the prize.
• How long we keep it. 3 months after the campaign ends, then permanently destroyed, except where law requires otherwise. Data is held on a US server in Oregon under Samyang Foods Inc., and a partner agency helps handle prize fulfillment.
• How winners hear from us. Picks are posted together in the Hall of Flame notice on burn.buldak.com, and we email each winner directly — check your spam folder. Prizes ship in order after the announcement.
• Taxes are on us. Any local withholding tax or duty on the prize is covered by Samyang Foods, but the ID copy has to arrive by the deadline or the win is forfeited. Mask the ID number before you upload it.
FAQ: Buldak Weekly Challenge
Q. Do I need a big following to get picked?
No. There is no follower minimum and no application step. We pick videos, not accounts, and the Spotlight Boost exists specifically so a good video from a small account can travel.
Q. Can I enter more than once?
Picks are made three a day. For limits on how many times you can enter, the submission terms on the campaign page are the authority.
Q. What if my video does not hit 10,000 views?
10,000 views within two days of posting is the benchmark we publish. The full selection criteria are detailed in the submission terms on the campaign page.
Q. Does the boost run on my account or a brand account?
Yours. The Spark Ads code you enter lets us put budget behind your original post, so every view, like and follow the boost generates stays on your account.
Q. How will I know if I got picked?
Picks go up together in the Hall of Flame notice on burn.buldak.com, and we email winners directly. Our notification lands in spam more often than we would like, so check that folder too. Prizes ship in order after the announcement.
Q. Can I delete my video after submitting it?
Entering grants a perpetual license to use the content, so taking the post down does not withdraw that license. Worth deciding before you submit rather than after.
Q. Is this the same as the spicy noodle challenge?
No. That is a long-running internet dare about eating very hot ramen. The Buldak Weekly Challenge is our own campaign, with a new challenge every week, a submission flow and rewards.
Q. Where do I find this week's challenge?
On burn.buldak.com, just below the countdown. It changes every Tuesday at midnight ET.
Q. Something went wrong with my entry. Who do I contact?
challenge.support@buldak.com. That address also handles data deletion requests.
Your Turn
This week is Prank Someone with Unexpected Buldak, and it closes September 7. Make it your way, post it with the tag and all three hashtags, and submit the link. We will be waiting.
This guide is written and kept up to date by the Samyang Foods global brand team — the people who run the Buldak Weekly Challenge and read every entry that comes through burn.buldak.com. It reflects the campaign as of September 3, 2026. If anything changes, the submission terms on buldak.com are the authority.
